As your constituent and a law-abiding concealed carry permit holder, I’m asking you to support H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.

Since the Bruen decision, California has seen a surge in concealed carry applications. Even in a state with restrictive laws, it’s clear that responsible citizens—especially in communities like ours—want more tools to protect themselves and their families.

H.R. 38 helps ensure that Californians who follow the law at home aren’t put at legal risk when they travel across state lines. Military families, business travelers, and those visiting loved ones deserve clarity—not a confusing patchwork of inconsistent rules.

This is especially important to many Asian American and immigrant families in Orange County and the Sacramento suburbs, who are deeply concerned about targeted violence. Our right to self-defense shouldn’t stop at the state border.

The bill also provides much-needed consistency for law enforcement, focusing resources on criminal misuse of firearms—not responsible permit holders who’ve passed background checks and safety training.
