Support Chatsworth AD1 in Murray County

Dear [Lawmaker],

I am writing to share my support for the proposed Chatsworth AD1 facility in Murray County. This project represents a responsible investment in our local agricultural economy, energy future, and environmental health.

The facility will recycle food and beverage waste into renewable natural gas, producing enough locally sourced energy to help diversify Georgia’s energy supply and contribute to American energy independence by reducing reliance on imported fuels. It will also create organic, low-carbon fertilizer that supports healthier soils and reduces dependence on chemical fertilizers.

This project will strengthen local farms by providing a steady income source and access to nutrient-rich fertilizer, helping keep farmland in production for future generations.

The facility is designed with modern odor controls, enclosed systems, and strong environmental safeguards to protect local air, soil, and water. Similar facilities in other communities have operated safely and without negative impacts on property values.

Economically, this project will generate new tax revenue, create construction jobs, and support permanent local positions, while also bringing more business to local vendors and service providers.

For these reasons, I respectfully urge support for the Chatsworth AD1 facility. This is a smart, community-minded project that supports our farmers, strengthens our local economy, and puts waste to productive use here at home.
