Grant Heather Hall a formal hearing
Dear [Senator],
I am writing to respectfully urge you to grant Heather Hall a formal hearing. Ms. Hall is a highly respected member of the Kansas City community, a law enforcement spouse, and a dedicated public servant who is already serving as a Police Commissioner. She is clearly qualified and deserving of the opportunity to be heard through the normal public process. Denying a hearing to a sitting commissioner undermines transparency and erodes public confidence in the decision-making process. Hearings exist to allow for open discussion, accountability, and informed judgment. Granting one does not predetermine an outcome; it simply ensures fairness and respect for the role Ms. Hall currently holds. Public safety and good governance require that qualified voices are given the opportunity to speak. I respectfully ask that you allow a hearing for Heather Hall without further delay.
