Millions of Americans have elevated lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a)—a genetic form of cholesterol that greatly increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and aortic valve disease. Without CMS coverage for testing or new treatments, most patients are unaware of their risk and miss the chance for early detection and life-saving care.
We are asking CMS to:
- Include Lp(a) testing in cardiovascular risk assessments
- Ensure fair coverage for upcoming Lp(a)-lowering therapies
- Remove barriers that delay diagnosis and treatment
Every patient deserves to know their risk — and every clinician deserves the tools to act.
Sign the petition and urge CMS to cover Lp(a) testing and treatment.
