ABMA members will be in Washington, DC on April 15, 2026, meeting with lawmakers to discuss two critical issues affecting our industry: credit card swipe fees and housing affordability.

Credit Card Competition Act (CCCA)

The bipartisan Credit Card Competition Act has been reintroduced in the 119th Congress to increase competition in the credit card processing market and help reduce high swipe fees that weigh on small businesses and consumers. The legislation is currently introduced as H.R. 7035 in the House and S. 3623 in the Senate.

Housing Affordability

We also look forward to discussing federal approaches to improve housing affordability, including our Building Homes – Not Costs initiative. Ensuring housing remains accessible and attainable is critical for our members, employees, and local communities.
