Support the MA Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism’s Recommendations

Just before Thanksgiving, following over a year of review of public testimony, expert input, and experience of impacted residents, the Massachusetts Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism unanimously adopted a set of recommendations to help guide Massachusetts’s response to rising antisemitism. These recommendations outline actionable steps for K-12 education, workplaces, and community settings to effectively address antisemitism and all forms of hate and bias.

The Commission — which included representatives from state agencies, constitutional offices, key professional organizations such as the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents and the Massachusetts District Attorneys Association, as well as members of the Jewish community — met for more than a year to review public testimony, expert input, and the experiences of impacted residents.

The resulting recommendations offer a clear and practical roadmap for effectively addressing antisemitism in Massachusetts. They outline actionable steps in K–12 education, workplaces, and community settings, with a strong focus on increasing understanding of antisemitism and the diversity of the Jewish community. These measures aim to create safer, more inclusive environments across the Commonwealth for all residents.
