California: Oppose AB 1127 and AB 1263
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a California resident, I urge you to OPPOSE Assembly Bill 1127 and Assembly Bill 1263. AB 1127 prohibits firearms dealers from selling certain commonly owned semi-automatic pistols under the claim of preventing machine gun conversions. These conversions are already illegal under federal law. This bill is simply another attempt to restrict law-abiding citizens from accessing standard handguns used for self-defense, training, and competition. AB 1263 creates a new crime for causing another person to unlawfully manufacture a firearm. This legislation is unnecessary and overly broad, and it risks criminalizing otherwise innocent individuals without addressing violent crime or public safety. These bills unfairly target responsible gun owners and dealers rather than focusing on criminals who misuse firearms. Please stand up for the rights of California gun owners and vote NO on AB 1127 and AB 1263. Thank you for your time and consideration.
