Urge The House To Reinstate 10-Year Defund of Planned Parenthood

We call upon the U.S. House of Representatives—to take urgent action to reinstate the 10-year defunding of Planned Parenthood in the final version of the budget bill.

Although the House initially passed a version including a decade-long defund of Planned Parenthood, the Senate parliamentarian intervened, slashing it to just one year. The Senate approved this watered-down version, and the bill has now returned to the House. This is our opportunity to fix it.

For too long, Planned Parenthood—the nation’s largest abortion provider—has misled the American public while receiving nearly $800 million in taxpayer funding annually. Over the past decade:

Abortions have surged to a record 402,230 per year.
Other health services have declined sharply—including prenatal care, cancer screenings, and contraceptive services.
Client numbers have dropped by 30% and the number of facilities has decreased by 25%.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood raked in $178 million in profits in a single year and amassed billions in assets.

Planned Parenthood does not represent the healthcare needs of American women and families. In fact:

Only 2% of women of reproductive age in the U.S. are served by Planned Parenthood.
The organization has been implicated in Medicaid fraud, failure to report child sexual abuse, and discriminatory practices.
It is also a major provider of so-called “gender-affirming care” to minors as young as 16, often with little to no psychological evaluation.

The facts are overwhelming: Planned Parenthood’s services are in decline, its abuses are mounting, and its profit margins are growing—all while being propped up by American taxpayers at a cost of over $1.9 million per day.

The House must act now.

Tell your representatives to restore the 10-year defund of Planned Parenthood. One year is not enough. It’s time to stop sending our tax dollars to an organization that profits from ending innocent lives and betraying public trust.

Although the House rightly passed a version that would have defunded Planned Parenthood for an entire decade, the Senate has since weakened that provision—cutting it down to just one year. As the bill returns to the House, you have the opportunity—and the responsibility—to restore the stronger measure.

This is a matter of urgent moral and fiscal importance.

Over the past decade, Planned Parenthood—the nation’s largest abortion provider—has reported a 20% increase in abortions, while its legitimate healthcare services have sharply declined. Yet taxpayer funding has surged to nearly $800 million annually, its highest level ever.

Planned Parenthood’s own reports reveal:

402,230 abortions were committed last year alone—a new record.

Services like prenatal care, cancer screenings, and contraceptives have drastically declined.

Client numbers are down 30%, and facility locations have dropped 25% over the past decade.

Meanwhile, the organization raked in over $178 million in profits in a single year and now holds billions in assets.

Planned Parenthood also:

Serves just 2% of women of reproductive age nationwide.

Has faced repeated allegations of Medicaid fraud, failure to report child sexual abuse, and discriminatory practices.

Has become one of the largest providers of so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors, offering cross-sex hormones to children as young as 16, often with minimal evaluation.

It is both unjust and irresponsible for American taxpayers to continue subsidizing Planned Parenthood at a rate of over $1.9 million per day.

I urge you to stand firm in protecting moms, babies, and taxpayers by restoring the original 10-year defund provision. Our tax dollars should support healthcare that truly serves families—not fund an organization that profits from abortion and exploits vulnerable populations.
