Join us for a practical, parent-focused training designed to help families and advocates better understand how school discipline works and how to keep students on track. Participants will learn clear, easy-to-follow strategies to prevent behaviors from escalating, reduce the likelihood of suspension or expulsion, and communicate effectively with schools. The session also covers what to expect during discipline proceedings, how to request constructive supports, and how special education protections may apply. Representatives from GA Appleseed will share how families can access additional advocacy support. Our goal is to equip families with the tools and confidence needed to help students stay engaged, supported, and successful in school.
