Rhode Island: Take action and oppose H.5436 today!
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a resident of Rhode Island and strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to vote "NO" on H.5436. H.5436, a bill labeled as an “assault weapon ban” but so broad it would outlaw most commonly-owned semi-auto firearms. For example, it is so broad it includes shotguns with fixed magazines holding more than six rounds. That is correct. A popular snow goose hunting shotgun would be an “assault weapon” under this ill-conceived and unconstitutional legislation. I urge you to OPPOSE this legislation and vote "NO" on H.5436. Thank you for all that you do for the great state of Rhode Island.
