Keep America Moving Forward

Dear [President Trump],

The history of the great American industrial decline is a story you are no stranger to. For decades, our nation has seen great high-paying jobs flow overseas to our competitors. In this time span, metropolises and huge infrastructure projects have been built everywhere but the US.

It's not like the US is a stranger to pro-growth development and building projects we can be proud of. Our country is home to many monuments of human achievement and testaments of the American spirit. For a while now, this spirit has been replaced with a bureaucratic attitude that disincentivizes creators and investors from looking at our shores for opportunity.

But in the last year since you were elected, America is in a reshoring renaissance. You have proven to be the right leader to bring home the jobs and build the infrastructure projects we need to compete globally.

While recent administrative actions have helped move American energy forward, executive authority alone cannot ensure lasting reform. Codifying targeted permitting improvements through congressional action is the critical next step to secure long‑term economic growth, job creation, and energy leadership.

Mr. President, there is one more step to cementing this progress – push Congress to pass permitting reform improvements now. We need a modernized process with less bureaucratic bottlenecks for America to unleash its energy potential and to create jobs for our citizens.
