We believe this project is a vital opportunity to ensure that our youth can find high-paying career paths close to home rather than moving away for opportunity. Blackwater Solar is not just a temporary construction site; it is a launchpad for $100k careers that require no college debt. Through the National Tri-Trade Agreement, we guarantee that this project will be built to the highest safety and wage standards. Furthermore, the $4.9 million in new revenue generated in the first year alone would cover more than half of Sussex’s current annual contribution to public schools. We urge you to stand with the county's workers and approve a project that keeps our families rooted and our economy growing.
