Washington: Urge Civil Rights & Judiciary Committee to OPPOSE HB 2320!
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of Washington, I urge you to OPPOSE HB 2320 in your committee. HB 2320 attempts to prohibit the private use of 3-D printers or milling machines for manufacturing firearms and firearms parts that are already illegal or restricted under state law. Additionally, HB 2320 prohibits the possession of digital instruction files and/or code related to firearm components by private individuals, which has both First, Second and Fifth Amendment implications. “Ghost guns” are already illegal under Washington law. All of the firearms this bill refers to are already illegal or restricted under state law. Criminals will disregard this bill like they have with every other firearm law passed in recent memory. Again, I urge you to OPPOSE this bill. Thank you for all that you do for our state.
Sincerely,
______
