Reject attacks on climate, environment, and public health
Dear [Lawmaker],
Federally funded science unlocks life-saving advances, fuels innovative technologies, solves our toughest challenges. It has made the scientific enterprise in the United States the best in the world. All of that is now at risk. Scientific research and innovation are not a switch that can be flipped on and off. If we do not act immediately to restore the scientific funding and staffing that is being slashed by the current administration, it may take decades to recover. Every dollar that we invest in scientific research returns at least five dollars in economic and social benefits. If you do not act now to restore scientific funding it will undermine our prosperity, our democracy, and our children’s futures for decades to come.
