I understand that some in Congress are once again talking about making cuts to Medicare Advantage. If these cuts are allowed to go through, millions of seniors like me could face higher costs and lose access to the primary and preventive care we rely on to stay healthy.

I am writing to you as your constituent and as someone who believes lawmakers in Washington should protect Medicare Advantage for seniors. Medicare Advantage offers crucial benefits like vision and dental care, affordable prescriptions, capped out-of-pocket expenses and access to high-quality doctors and specialists.

Medicare Advantage works. It delivers better care, affordable options and peace of mind for the elderly population and the support systems around them. Nine in ten seniors support Medicare Advantage, and for good reason because it leads to better health outcomes for seniors and costs less than traditional fee-for-service Medicare. Now is NOT the time to make any cuts.

Cutting this program when healthcare costs continue to rise and seniors need more support than ever is reckless and dangerous. Cuts imposed by the previous Administration have already meant fewer resources, fewer benefits and more uncertainty for seniors who have earned these protections.

I urge you to please consider the millions of seniors who would suffer if these ill-advised proposals were passed by Congress. Please reject any proposed cuts to this vital program. We are counting on you.
