You Should Decide – Not the Government
Clinton County residents should have the freedom to use their own land as they want, including for wind energy.
But Clinton County Supervisors are considering new rules that would take away landowner freedom by banning wind on private property.
Other Iowa counties have already figured this out. They’ve passed fair, common-sense ordinances that protect neighbors without hurting farmers or freedom. And that’s meant:
- Stable income for farmers not subject to trade or tariff uncertainties
- Reduced tax burden for county taxpayers thanks to new revenue from wind farms
Clinton County can do the same, but supervisors need to hear from you. Property rights are at risk and local government officials have already begun meetings to discuss how they can limit the rights of landowners in the county. The time to act is now!
