I’m writing to express my strong support for Project YaREN in Ingleside. As someone who cares deeply about economic growth, environmental responsibility, and long-term energy leadership, I believe this project is a smart and forward-thinking opportunity for our region.

Why I support Project YaREN:

It brings high-quality, local jobs. With up to 4,000 construction jobs and over 200 permanent roles expected, YaREN offers meaningful employment opportunities that can strengthen our local economy.

It will generate major tax revenue. Project YaREN will deliver tax revenue that can support local schools, infrastructure, and essential public services for years to come.

It’s a step toward cleaner energy. The facility will produce blue ammonia, a low-carbon fuel that captures up to 95% of its CO₂ emissions. That’s a significant improvement over traditional ammonia production and supports global energy transition goals.

It protects our natural resources. The project will use seawater — not fresh drinking water — and follows strict environmental protections, including measures to preserve seagrass and marine life.

It’s backed by proven, responsible partners. Enbridge and Yara have long histories of operational excellence and commitment to environmental performance. This gives me confidence in their ability to develop and manage a safe, sustainable facility.

Please continue to support the progress of Project YaREN through any necessary permitting or decision-making processes. This project offers a rare chance to combine economic development, energy innovation, and environmental stewardship — and I hope Ingleside will lead the way.
