Support AB609, AB610, and AJR112

As your constituent and a proud supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to support Assembly Bill 609, Assembly Bill 610, and Assembly Joint Resolution 112.

These measures represent essential steps to strengthen Wisconsin’s commitment to protecting the constitutional right to keep and bear arms:

AB609 recognizes the right of law-abiding adults to carry a firearm without first obtaining government permission, while preserving the option for a concealed carry permit for reciprocity with other states.

AB610 establishes a sales tax holiday for firearms, ammunition, and archery equipment, supporting Wisconsin’s sporting traditions and providing meaningful tax relief for responsible gun owners.

AJR112 reaffirms that the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental and inalienable liberty that must be subject to strict scrutiny—the highest legal standard of protection against government infringement.

Together, these bills safeguard individual freedoms, promote personal safety, and uphold the constitutional values that Wisconsinites hold dear.
