Please pass HB 1607/SB 5502, the Recycling Refund Act in 2026!
Dear [Lawmaker],
Today only 30% of bottles and cans are recycled and many end up in our parks, along roads and in our waterways. This litter is not only polluting our environment but costing taxpayers millions to clean up. The Recycling Refund Act could reduce litter by more than 80%! I urge you to address this problem by passing the Recycling Refund Act. Other states have similar programs and it’s proven to increase recycling of bottles and cans to 90%. This means less waste in landfills and pollution in our water.
