One way the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans can help ensure the long-term sustainability of our tribe and achieve a significant government victory is by passing the Tule River Water Settlement Act, which Congressman Vince Fong is in the process of reintroducing this session.

The Tule River Water Settlement Act will codify a 2007 agreement between our tribe and two local ditch companies. This agreement aims to construct a reservoir along the Tule River on our reservation. The reservoir will ensure that our members have access to clean drinking water throughout the year. Additionally, it will help regulate the river's flow to support agriculture in the Tule River basin and provide another water reservoir for central California to help combat wildfires.
