As a proud American energy worker, I am writing you today to encourage you to vote YES on the bipartisan legislation: The Standardizing Permitting and Expediting Economic Development (SPEED) Act. 
The SPEED Act is part of a broader package of legislation that comprehensively reforms America’s broken permitting system to unleash affordable energy for all Americans.  
This bipartisan breakthrough provides common-sense, durable reforms to fully modernize the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), an outdated statute that spurs inefficient permitting reviews and endless litigation of vital energy projects regardless of energy source. 
It includes key reforms that are critical to unlock the permitting system, including instituting predictability to the NEPA review process and addressing frivolous, third-party litigation against agency decisions.
America’s permitting system must meet today’s growing energy needs, and passing the SPEED Act is an essential first step to accelerate development of the energy projects needed to lower costs, grow the economy, and beat China in the AI race.
