Congress has played an essential role in ensuring America stands with our ally, speaking out in support of Israel’s right to defend itself, passing vital security assistance, and publicly pressuring Hamas to release the hostages. This hard-earned peace was only achieved thanks to the ironclad U.S. support for our ally, further proving that only when the two partners work together, peace is attainable.

As a pro-Israel American and AIPAC member, I want to express my profound gratitude for your work to secure the release of the Israeli and American hostages held in Gaza by Hamas.

Thanks to your ironclad support for Israel and close cooperation with our ally, you achieved a historic peace agreement that brings an end to two years of war. The deal will achieve Israel’s goals of freeing the hostages and ending the threat from Hamas, and will alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza that Hamas has caused. 

The United States has played an essential role in supporting Israel’s right to defend itself, defending Israel on the world stage, providing vital security assistance, and publicly pressuring Hamas to release the hostages.

Just as you demonstrated with the Abraham Accords, you proved that what was true with Egypt and Jordan is true again today: when America stands strongly with Israel and the two allies work together, peace is possible.

In the days and months ahead, the United States must continue to stand with the Jewish state and remain vigilant to prevent Hamas from reemerging as an existential threat to Israel. The United States must ensure that Hamas adheres to the terms and implementation of the peace plan.
