Cut Spending Now!

The ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ preserved the critically important Trump Tax Cuts.

Now it’s time for Congress to do its job and rein in spending.

Dear [Lawmaker]:

Managing the country's dire fiscal outlook requires strong economic growth aided by sensible tax and regulatory policies.  But we also need discipline on federal spending, because every dollar the federal government spends is ultimately taxed, borrowed, or printed – all at the expense of the American people.

We cannot afford to let spending continue to grow unchecked because we are headed toward an eventual Greece-style meltdown.

It is past time for Congress to get serious - and cut spending now.

Congress controls the power of the purse yet has rubber-stamped crisis levels of spending without adequate justification on economic or national security grounds. This runaway spending cannot continue, and as my elected representative, I am counting on you to stop it.

Please respond with your commitment to oppose any legislation that increases federal spending beyond the rate of inflation, as well as your plan to cut spending back to pre-pandemic levels and to ensure that Congress lives within its means.
