I’ve known that as an owner, you’ve been forthright about reading this inbox and responding to fans. I truly hope you take the time to read this email. 
I’ve just received yet another espn alert about the history this club is making - fewest wins in the first 70 games of a season since the 1899 Cleveland Spiders. 
Since the presidency of William McKinley there has not been a worse showing for America’s pastime. For reference, that year was also the first time a game of basketball was played  by the university of Kansas - who have gone on to win the national championship 4 times in that time. 
I digress, for the reason I have chosen today to reach out is because I have deliberately not watched a single game over the past three seasons. I went to my first Rockies game when I was just 2 years old. My first jersey I owned for any team was Todd Helton’s purple pinstripes #17. The only team I have ever rooted for has been my Rockies, and yet I have lost my love of the sport knowing that this team is being handled so horribly. Incredible players have come to Blake Street and left a lasting mark on this amazing sport- from the Big Cat, Helton and Larry walker, Tulo and CarGo, to Arenado and so many others. Yet what this franchise will be remembered for is this season. The history of our team will forever tied to a record that should never have been able to be broken. 
I would ask you to think of your legacy, however I am beyond convinced that your only concern is selling tickets to the rooftop. With tomorrow being Father’s Day, the best gift I could give to my dad would be to tell him that our team has a new owner, general partner, vice president of operations, and director of professional scouting so I may once again, root, root root for the Rockies.
