Building a Stronger Sussex with Local Union Labor

The members of LiUNA Local 980 urge your approval of the Blackwater Solar project. We know that one good job can change a family, but hundreds of these jobs can change an entire community. Sussex County has seen its population shrink over the last decade. This project addresses that head-on by providing the kind of stable pay and benefits that allow people to save, invest, and stay in Sussex. Unlike past projects that relied on out-of-state workers, the partnership with the National Tri-Trade Agreement ensures that neighbors are the ones building for neighbors. Beyond the jobs, the project offers over $170 million in lifetime benefits to the county. This is a private investment that doesn’t raise taxes on our residents. We ask you to vote for Blackwater Solar and invest in the people who want to build Sussex’s future with their own hands.
