As a constituent and advocate within the Jewish Federations system deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of children online, including Jewish kids facing rising harassment and antisemitic abuse, I urge you to support bipartisan legislation that strengthens online safety tools, transparency, and protections for minors.

Jewish families are increasingly alarmed by the digital environments where children are exposed to harassment, bullying, and hate, often amplified by opaque algorithms and AI-driven systems. Congress has an important opportunity to advance practical, bipartisan solutions that empower parents, improve safeguards, and reduce online harm without infringing on free speech.

Specifically, I urge you to support the following bills:

- H.R. 5360, AWARE Act: Direct the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to develop and make available to the public educational resources for parents, educators, and minors with respect to the safe and responsible use of AI chatbots by minors.

- H.R. 6499, Assessing Safety Tools for Parents and Minors Act: Directs the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to review online safety efforts, including parental controls and age-appropriate labeling, and report on their effectiveness in protecting minors from online harms like cyberbullying, addiction, and exploitation

- H.R. 6289, Promoting a Safe Internet for Minors Act: Directs the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to develop and implement a national public awareness and education campaign to promote online safety for individuals under the age of 17

These bipartisan bills focus on child safety, parental empowerment, and responsible technology governance, while maintaining a careful balance with First Amendment protections. They represent a constructive path forward to address real-world harms affecting minors, including antisemitic bullying and harassment.
