Today, seniors are already paying more for gas, groceries, and prescription drugs. Any reduction in Medicare Advantage funding risks higher premiums and out-of-pocket costs, which would make it even harder for many of us to make ends meet. Uncertainty about our health coverage also creates unnecessary stress and anxiety for seniors who depend on consistent, reliable care.

Medicare Advantage works because it puts seniors in charge of our own health care. We can choose the plan that works best for us, often with extra benefits at no additional cost — like vision, dental, and care coordination — that help keep us healthy and out of the hospital. That is why Medicare Advantage has become the most popular choice for Medicare beneficiaries.

While Congress does not set Medicare Advantage payment rates, your voice matters. I urge you to speak out to the Administration and encourage policies that fully fund Medicare Advantage and protect seniors from higher costs and disruptions in care.
