Please Support HB 2884, HB 3503 & HB 3371

Dear Members of the House Committee on Community Safety, I urge you to support HB 2884, HB 3503, and HB 3371, three important bills that uphold and strengthen the Second Amendment rights of Texans. HB 2884 enhances statewide consistency by reinforcing firearm preemption laws and preventing patchwork gun control ordinances. HB 3503 recognizes the rights of law-abiding adults ages 18–20 to carry handguns for self-defense, aligning with their other adult responsibilities. HB 3371 removes outdated restrictions that confuse lawful gun owners and serve no public safety benefit. These bills represent meaningful, common-sense steps to protect our freedoms while promoting responsible gun ownership. I urge you to vote YES and advance them out of committee.
