I’m writing to ask you to amend and support HB 201 to include Dashers and other delivery workers in the exemption for tip income from state taxes. Dashers play an important role in connecting local businesses and communities. We deliver food, groceries, and other essentials to people across Maryland every day. As the bill stands now, Dashers would be left out of this tax relief, even though we rely on tips just like many other service workers. Including Dashers in HB 201 would make the bill fairer and more effective—helping more Marylanders keep what they earn and support their families. Please ensure HB 201 includes Dashers and vote yes when it comes before you. Thank you for your consideration.
