Don't End America's Scientific Excellence
Dear [Lawmaker],
American innovation in science and technology put us on the moon, created the internet, and built the modern society we enjoy today. By exploring and understanding the world around us, we gain the knowledge to drive breakthroughs that improve life for all Americans. While science faces real challenges today—such as progressive ideology and misguided agendas—our response should be to strengthen and reform our institutions, not dismantle them. I urge you to support American science and oppose efforts to shut down the National Atmospheric Research Center in Colorado—a world-leading research hub in atmospheric science. The center conducts vital work in solar physics, meteorology, atmospheric chemistry, and computational modeling. Instead of undermining these institutions, the federal government should course-correct on misguided “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs that have eroded public confidence in science. It should refocus on merit, cultivate domestic talent, and maintain America’s scientific advantage. Defunding or weakening our research centers will only put that advantage at risk. Thank you for standing for American innovation and ensuring that our scientific institutions continue to drive economic prosperity and human flourishing.
Sincerely,
______
