Oregon: Senate Floor Action on Ballot Measure 114 Override Bill TOMORROW
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of Oregon and your constituent, I urge you to OPPOSE HB 4145 on the floor. A -9 Amendment was passed in the Rules Committee that gutted many of the previous provisions. HB 4145 now moves the implementation date of Ballot Measure 114 to January 1, 2028, and includes a legislative intent section that only applies to avoiding conflict with the court case in the Oregon Supreme Court. Passage of this bill, even with the -9 Amendment, signals legislative approval of the unconstitutional provisions of Ballot Measure 114. This bill does nothing to address crime, and will only penalize law-abiding gun owners in our state. again, I urge you to OPPOSE HB 4145 on the floor. Thank you for all that you do for our state.
