I’m reaching out as your constituent to urge you to oppose AB 1, which would place a new tax on delivery services. Delivery taxes like those proposed in AB 1 would raise the price of deliveries that many Michigan families count on for groceries, meals, and other essentials. At a time when the cost of living is already high, adding additional costs would make delivery less affordable and less accessible for people across our state.This type of tax would also disproportionately impact our most vulnerable neighbors. It risks making everyday necessities unaffordable for low-income households, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those living in areas with limited access to transportation. Michigan residents are already trying to keep up with rising costs. A new delivery tax would only make it more difficult. Please say no to AB 1 and protect affordable access to delivery services in our state.
