As a Fresno resident, I’m asking you to oppose the proposed ban on natural kratom leaf. This policy would unfairly penalize responsible adults who rely on this centuries-old botanical, while failing to address the real threat: concentrated synthetic 7-OH products falsely marketed as “kratom.” Natural kratom leaf is not the problem — dangerous synthetic derivatives are, and the FDA has already warned against them. As a Fresno County resident, I’m asking you to protect access to natural kratom leaf. Fresno needs laws that will regulate natural kratom while prohibiting the sale of concentrated, synthetic products such as 7-OH. Natural kratom is used safely by approximately 23 million Americans, and 3 million Californians. Do not let the false narratives fool you - Natural kratom leaf is not the problem. Dangerous synthetic derivatives are the problem, and the federal government has begun to move against them.
