Every Oregonian’s health insurance, auto insurance and other insurance premiums will rise under House Bill 4098.
When it comes to insurance, Oregon already has some of the strongest consumer protections in the nation. The state Department of Consumer and Business Services provides free assistance, resolves disputes in 30 days (or 72 hours for urgent cases) and returned more than $5.6 million directly to consumers in 2025.
House Bill 4098 will only add layers of bureaucracy, making disputes longer, more complicated and more expensive to resolve.
Tell your representatives to stop the rush. Tell them to vote NO on House Bill 4098.
