Support Senate Bill 176

As a fellow Indiana resident and your constituent, I urge you to SUPPORT Senate Bill 176, legislation that has passed the Indiana House of Representatives and now returns to the Senate for a concurrence vote on House amendments. This bill strengthens Indiana’s firearm preemption statute by protecting shooting ranges and preventing local governments from imposing zoning or permitting restrictions that exceed state law. SB 176 ensures that counties, cities, and towns cannot use planning or zoning powers to unfairly restrict or prohibit lawful shooting ranges through excessive or discriminatory regulations. Again, I respectfully urge you to SUPPORT Senate Bill 176 in concurrence so it can move forward to the Governor’s desk. Thank you for all that you do for our great state.
