Oppose SB 2517

As a fellow Hawaii resident and your constituent, I urge you to OPPOSE SB 2517. This legislation would further expand Hawaii’s already problematic red flag laws by allowing automatic felony penalties related to Gun Violence Protection Orders without ensuring full evidentiary hearings and due process protections. SB 2517 raises serious constitutional concerns and risks punishing law-abiding citizens without adequate legal safeguards. Again, I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE SB 2517 in committee.
