Dear [Lawmaker],
I am a Georgia resident and an employee of Progress Residential. Every day, I see the positive impact professionally managed single-family rental homes have on working families across our state. Our residents are teachers, nurses, first responders, and small business employees who rely on safe, well-maintained homes and stable communities. Professional management ensures consistent maintenance, accountability, and long-term housing options for families who choose to rent. I am strongly opposed to SB 463. Restricting responsible property management and private investment will reduce the supply of quality rental housing. When supply shrinks, costs rise — and families face instability. In some cases, forced sales could displace residents who have built their lives in these neighborhoods. SB 463 also risks damaging Georgia’s reputation as the best state in the nation to do business. Policies that discourage responsible investment weaken our housing market and send the wrong message to the broader business community. Georgia’s housing challenges require more supply — not restrictions that reduce it. I respectfully urge you to vote NO on SB 463 and instead support policies that expand housing availability and protect stability for Georgia families. Thank you for your service to our state.
Sincerely,
______
