New Hampshire: Right to Hunt Heading to the House Floor
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of New Hampshire and your constituent, I encourage you to SUPPORT CACR 15 when it arrives on the floor. CACR 15 would create a constitutional right to hunt and fish and establish hunting and fishing by traditional methods as the primary means of maintaining healthy wildlife populations, subject to existing laws enacted by the New Hampshire General Court. This proposed amendment preserves the state's ability to ensure that the taking of game is done through currently recognized appropriate methods, consistent with wildlife management goals, and does not alter private property rights. But by strengthening the right to hunt and fish, a constitutional amendment offers substantial protection for sportsmen from legal or legislative attacks. Again, I encourage you to SUPPORT CACR 15 on the floor. Thank you for all that you do for the Granite State.
