Oppose Anti-Gun Legislation in the New Jersey Senate

Dear [Lawmaker],

As a law-abiding gun owner and your constituent, I urge you to OPPOSE the package of anti-gun bills currently advancing in the New Jersey Senate. These proposals—S.1558, S.3893, S.3894, and S.3706—do nothing to enhance public safety and only serve to criminalize responsible firearm ownership.

S.1558 criminalizes the transport or transfer of firearms without serial numbers, even if they were lawfully manufactured and acquired. S.3893 and S.3894 impose redundant or overreaching restrictions, including criminal penalties for merely possessing digital files. S.3706 mandates intrusive tracking through Merchant Category Codes that threaten to violate the privacy of gun owners and enable de facto firearms registries.

New Jersey already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. These additional measures are unnecessary and unfair to responsible gun owners. I respectfully urge you to vote NO on all of these anti-gun bills.
