Dear City of Pascagoula Leadership,

I am writing to oppose the City of Pascagoula’s proposed annexation plan. The process has lacked transparency, raises serious financial and infrastructure concerns, and risks placing undue burdens on residents and businesses. I urge you to reconsider and pursue a more open, responsible, and community-focused approach.
Key decisions have been made behind closed doors, excluding input from the public and newly elected council members. Similar annexations elsewhere have led to higher costs through taxes and utilities with little benefit to residents.
Pascagoula already struggles with aging infrastructure, boil water advisories, flooding, and deteriorating roads. Expanding by 25.2 square miles could further strain resources and compromise essential services.
The Jackson County Board of Supervisors and businesses in the proposed area have long supported the community. The proposed annexation risks weakening these critical partnerships.
I respectfully urge you to withdraw this plan from the court and instead focus on repairing current infrastructure, strengthening community ties, and restoring public trust through transparent governance.
