Dear [Lawmaker],

As your constituent, I am writing to ask you to support H.R. 6518, The Securing America's Fuels (SAF) Act, bipartisan legislation that would restore the full sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) tax credit. 
The year 2025 has been important for SAF in Congress, with the two-year extension of the 45Z tax credit for SAF. However, the reduced value of the tax credit undermines its ability to attract and sustain the investments necessary to dramatically increase domestic SAF production. 
SAF represents a massive market opportunity for Americans farmers at a difficult time for U.S. agriculture. Today, corn ethanol and fuels derived from soybean oil are sold exclusively into the road fuel market, which is relatively small. The same fuels can be easily used as SAF feedstocks, opening a new revenue stream for our farmers. But building any new industry takes investment, and Congress must restore the full value of the tax credit so we can grow America’s rural economies, create new markets for our farmers and secure a stronger energy future for our nation.
