A CT Child Tax Credit is a proposed state policy that would provide families with $600 per child, for up to three children under age 17, through a refundable tax credit. Households with incomes of up to $100,000 per year for single filers or $200,000 per year for joint filers would qualify.
If passed, this would provide direct financial support that families can count on each year through their tax returns to pay for whatever their households need most. Research shows that a Child Tax Credit like this can help reduce child poverty, improve family stability and strengthen local economies. Learn more →
