Urge Congress to Support Security Assistance to Israel

The United States provides security assistance to Israel because it advances American interests and regional objectives.

Given growing threats to Israel, it is essential that America maintains its security commitment to the Jewish state. U.S. assistance helps ensure that Israel has the means necessary to defend itself—by itself—against growing threats.

For decades, both Republican and Democratic administrations have provided security assistance to Israel without linking our aid to specific Israeli policies. Such conditioning would undermine U.S. national security interests.

Please urge your members of Congress to:

Support $3.3 billion in annual security assistance and $500 million for lifesaving missile defense programs such as Iron Dome.
Oppose any new political conditions on America’s security assistance commitment to Israel.

As your constituent, I am writing to urge you to support full funding of $3.3 billion in annual security assistance to Israel and $500 million for cooperative U.S.-Israel missile defense programs—in accordance with the 2016 U.S.-Israel Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Moreover, I urge you to oppose any new political conditions on this crucial support.

Israel is fighting a multi-front war against Iran and its terrorist proxies that seek to wipe the Jewish state off the map. U.S. assistance helps ensure Israel has the means necessary to defend itself—by itself—against these threats. 
For decades, both Republican and Democratic administrations have provided security assistance to Israel without linking our aid to specific Israeli policies. Both Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush agreed to provide security assistance to Israel under successive 10-year MOUs. Neither president sought to impose conditions on our assistance because they understood that doing so would undermine U.S. national security interests. 
Please support full funding of U.S. security assistance to the Jewish state—without any new conditions—to help ensure the safety and security of both nations.
