Thank You!
Take Action!
Dear [Lawmaker],
I wanted to reach out and say thank you for standing up for patients like me by keeping pharmacies open. My nearby pharmacy is where I pick up prescriptions and refills, and there’s a possibility it would close if some of the proposed legislation does pass. I'm worried about some of the bills floating around right now. I know they probably come from a good place, but I’ve also heard they could force chain pharmacies to close their doors. That's bad news for all of us and means there’s fewer places to go and higher prices at the pharmacies that remain. I really appreciate you being willing to take a stand on this. Please keep pushing back against anything that threatens our community pharmacies. Thanks for having our backs.
I’m asking you to support healthcare and steady access to local pharmacies for folks in our community. For many of your constituents, myself included, having nearby affordable prescriptions is a necessity we shouldn’t let be at risk. Efforts to bring down prescription costs are appreciated. Even so, some of the ideas being discussed could unintentionally make it harder for people to get the medicines they count on. If my hometown pharmacy is put in a tough spot, my ability to get needed treatments is on the line. When rules make it harder for pharmacies to operate, those burdens can quickly turn into barriers between patients and care. With that in mind, I hope you will support measures that protect and expand pharmacy access while lowering costs for patients and oppose policies that would narrow our options for care. These choices have real consequences for families. Thank you for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
______
