Dear [Lawmaker],

I wanted to reach out and say thank you for standing up for patients like me by keeping pharmacies open. My nearby pharmacy is where I pick up prescriptions and refills, and there’s a possibility it would close if some of the proposed legislation does pass.

I'm worried about some of the bills floating around right now. I know they probably come from a good place, but I’ve also heard they could force chain pharmacies to close their doors. That's bad news for all of us and means there’s fewer places to go and higher prices at the pharmacies that remain.

I really appreciate you being willing to take a stand on this. Please keep pushing back against anything that threatens our community pharmacies.

I'm writing because I need to talk to you about something that really affects me and my neighbors, which is keeping our local pharmacies open and making sure we can still afford our medications.

Look, I appreciate that everyone is trying to bring down the cost of prescriptions. That's great, and it's needed. But I'm worried that some of the ideas being thrown around might hurt people like me who depend on our neighborhood pharmacy. If my pharmacy has to close because of new rules or regulations, I don't know where I'm going to get my medications. And I'm not the only one. Lots of folks in our community are in the same boat.

Here's what I'm asking: please support policies that keep pharmacies in business while also making medications cheaper for regular people like me. And please vote against anything that would make it harder for local pharmacies to stay open. We need both affordable drugs AND places to actually get them.
