Washington: Mandatory Storage Bill Available for Floor Vote
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow resident of Washington and your constituent, I urge you to OPPOSE HB 1152 on the floor. HB 1152 would allow the government to tell you the only acceptable way to store your firearms in your home and in your vehicle. Firearms must be locked and stored in a manner that renders them virtually unavailable for self-defense in a home invasion or carjacking. The storage requirements apply to handguns, shotguns and rifles. Penalties for violation include $1,000 fines and misdemeanors, even if the firearm was taken by an act of unlawful entry. Thank you for all that you do for our state.
