It’s time for meaningful reform to strengthen New York’s recycling and collecting systems without increasing costs for New Yorkers.
Extended producer responsibility (EPR) legislation being considered in Albany aims to improve recycling across New York. But unfortunately, this legislation takes an unprecedented, costly and inefficient approach that will hurt hardworking New Yorkers and local small businesses serving us every day.
There is a better way to improve recycling across our state that should be considered that focuses on efficiency, consumer convenience, waste reduction and financial stability without raising costs.
Prioritize real solutions to the problems plaguing our recycling system and reject the costly and inefficient EPR Legislation and prioritize real solutions so our recycling system works for EVERYONE!
