As an employee of the CVS Health distribution center in Knoxville, Tennessee, and as your constituent, I am strongly urging you to reject S.B. 2040. This bill could cause massive disruptions to patient health care and medication access, while doing nothing to address rising drug prices – making access to affordable health care more difficult.

The bill could rip away pharmacy care options for the more than 1.5 million people we serve across CVS Health pharmacies in Tennessee.

I work here alongside 450 colleagues at our Knoxville distribution center, where we work to ensure we can deliver excellent health care across 134 CVS Pharmacy locations in Tennessee, 134 locations that may be forced to close.

S.B. 2040 could also leave twenty-five MinuteClinic retail medical clinics in those stores without a viable location. That’s an immediate loss across our state of convenient, high-quality and affordable health care services, which are available days, evenings and weekends. It could impact more than 70 nurse practitioners and physician associates – leaving hardworking Tennesseans out of a job and vulnerable patients without the care they need.

As an employee of CVS Health and your constituent, I strongly encourage you to protect pharmacy access for Tennessee patients by opposing S.B. 2040.
