Taxpayers Against Corruption, Wisconsin Chapter is an organization dedicated to raising awareness surrounding the proposed Kenosha casino and its impact on Wisconsin—from tribal members, to small businesses, and our tax dollars. We’re raising critical concerns that demand answers:

The Truth They’re Hiding:

Casino profits will be shipped to Florida corporations — notWisconsin. A significant portion of revenue may benefit the Hard Rock Casino’s Florida-based owners and investors, rather than Wisconsin taxpayers or tribal members.
Millions in costs will be dumped on local taxpayers. Wisconsin communities could bear substantial financial burdens cover reimbursements to tribes for our state government, while out-of-state investors reap the rewards.
Wisconsin tribes and taxpayers will be footing the bill for out-of-state profits. There are currently no formal plans to provide direct per capita payments to Wisconsin tribal members from the casino’s earnings.

Time is running out. Protect our communities, our dollars, our right to decide.

As your constituent, I'm writing to urge you to oppose the proposed Kenosha casino and demand full transparency before any decisions are made. This project threatens to funnel casino profits to Florida-based corporations such as the Hard Rock Casino's investors, rather than benefiting Wisconsin taxpayers or even treating Wisconsin's tribes fairly. 
Meanwhile, Wisconsin communities will be stuck with millions in costs and financial burdens while out-of-state interests collect the rewards. There are currently no formal plans to provide direct payments to Wisconsin tribal members from the casino's earnings, meaning our tribes and taxpayers will be footing the bill for someone else's profits. 
The Hard Rock Casino has a troubled track record in other states, and we cannot allow bad actors to exploit Wisconsin. I'm asking you to stand with your constituents, demand accountability from out-of-state investors, and protect our communities and our tax dollars. Time is running out — please take action now to stop this project before it's too late.
