Support Constitutional Carry Legislation
Dear [Lawmaker],
As a fellow Michigan resident and your constituent, I respectfully urge you to SUPPORT House Bills 5653 through 5657. This legislation would allow law-abiding citizens who are legally permitted to possess a firearm to carry a concealed pistol without first obtaining a government-issued permit. Constitutional Carry recognizes that the right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right that should not require a permit or fee to exercise. Michigan residents who are prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law would remain prohibited, and existing criminal penalties for the unlawful misuse of firearms would remain in place. Again, I respectfully urge you to SUPPORT HB 5653–HB 5657 in the House Judiciary Committee. Thank you for your service to the people of Michigan.
